ISO 9001:2015 focuses greater emphasis on the roles of top management and their deployment as a key to success. Recognising the emphasis on leadership at the core of its thinking is a key change in the new standard, with a greater emphasis on the objectives, measurement and change.

The 9001:2015 standard comprises of ten clauses instead of the previous eight used in the ISO 9001:2008.
