International standards experts, IMSM, have just opened an office in San José, Costa Rica, to serve the increasing business opportunities being developed in the Central America region.
With a small but well balanced economy, a well educated workforce, good communications and political and economical stability, Costa Rica was the natural choice for IMSM. The country has strong growth prospects in IT, health care, including pharmaceutical and medical equipment, construction, and environmental projects, making international standards such as ISO 9001 [quality systems], ISO 14001 [environment], ISO 13485 [medical devices] and ISO 22000 [food safety] particularly relevant.
As part of its support for the region, the company is also taking a booth at the Expo Cacia, (Cámara Costarricense de la Industria Aliementaria) focusing on the food industry, which will be held from 19-21st October, 2009. At this exhibition, visitors can find out about IMSM’s fixed fee, fast track, no fuss approach to international standards, and how its experienced IRCA qualified assessors can help them achieve efficiencies and attract more customers.
Commenting on this new development, Managing Director Michael Bright said, “Opening this office in San José and building up our sales team in the region is a major step forward for our company, which has been in operation for fifteen years. We believe the time is right to build on our experience in the region by setting up an office, and complementing our international network by investing in this growing economy.”
