Implementing another ISO may not require as much work as you think…

ISO have announced that more than 21,518 international standards (related documents) have been published in total. Many ISO standards such as ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and ISO 27001:2013 (Information and Data Security) are based on the key principles of the ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) standard.

ISO 14001 reduces company’s environmental impacts and often helps to increase profitability. ISO 27001 safeguards sensitive data to protect an organisation’s reputation and instil trust. Both standards work undoubtedly well alongside the ISO 9001 standard.

Implementation of ISO 14001 reduces the risk of prosecution due to environmental breaches or failure to comply with the law, it also reduces day to day waste to make operations greener, sustainable and cost effective.

ISO 27001 demonstrates corporate due diligence and shows compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements regarding data security, privacy and IT governance.

Once ISO 9001 certified, the key principles that are already embedded into your company will help your organisation be ready to implement further standards such as ISO 14001 or ISO 27001. IMSM’s role is to support organisations towards certification. Our experienced Assessors review processes and existing systems to ensure standards work well in your organisation.
